Music Music and More Music

As you can tell from several of my recent posts- music is a huge part of my life. In general it always has and even more so recently. I haven't had time to watch TV so my ipod is my constant companion. Today you get to see a random list of what comes up on shuffle. I added music to my ipod recently and I have 1050 songs loaded right now. That's a lot of music and it's all varying styles. Pop, rock, 80's, broadway, movie soundtracks, etc. Different music for different moods. I did listen to Daughtry's Leave This Town for 2 weeks straight. Now, I know all the words so I can move onto something else....

Zhu Zhu Pets Giveaway

I had the fortune of being chosen for a Zhu Zhu Pets Focus Group. 11 zhu zhu pets and their equipment showed up at my door a couple of weeks ago. Let me tell you, these toys are a hit with kids of all ages. Even my 14 year old wanted one. I took the bulk of them to the daycare where my youngest goes after school, but I gave one to each of my girls and, my lucky readers, I have one to give away. Not only will you get a super cool Zhu Zhu pet, you will also get a super cool hamster ball for it to run around your house in. That's right. And there's more. Since these are such a hit with the kiddos, the batteries run down fairly quickly. You will also get one set of replacement batteries in your package. I haven't priced it out at the store, but I'm guess this is about a $20 prize package. And I know you know you want it.

Giveaways...Got Rick??

Lots of people do giveaways on their blogs. I've been wanting to do one for awhile, but what would I give away? What do I have that somebody would want?? I finally figured it out. Last night, I found a copy of the Potwatomi Times from May that has a little blurb on Rick Springfield. I know that some people collect everything Rick. I have been doing a bit of "spring cleaning" and have started to really think about things hard before I decide to keep them. And if I do need to keep something, it needs to find a home. FAST.

Also, duh, I have a book I just finished. Although I haven't ordered any copies for myself yet, I'm going to, so that will be a down the road give away.

Anyway, here's the deal. Anybody who posts here with in the next week (8/26/08 to 9/2/08) will be entered into a drawing for the Pot Times. I might even be able to include a couple of decent photos of Da Man. One Entry per person! even if you post every day, I'm only putting your name in one time.

That's Right...It's My Blogoversary!

Who knew when I started this blog two years ago, on a whim, that it would still be up and running today. And being inspiring to some, entertainment to some, and a link to more/new information for some. It's by no stretch the most read blog, but the fact that it is read at all is amazing to me. I wish I had more witty things to say, but I ain't that witty.

I wanted to do a cool giveaway, but, I don't have anything to share...yet. I may be having a couple of give aways in the future, and let's say, if you like to read, you might want to get in on them. :-)

So, anyway, happy blogoversary to me. Here's to 2 more!
