I don't normally like to toot my own horn or bring attention to the fact that I am getting older, but this year I am making an exception! 1/21/10 I will be 40. or 29 for the 11th time. I'm a lot smart than I was in my teens and stronger (mentally, emotionally, not physically) than I was in my 20's. My 30's seem like a blur. Jazz was born when I was 29 and I have spent the last ten years watching my girls grown into wonderful young women. They still have time to figure out who they are, but as I see them develop I am so proud to say I had a hand in it.
Friday night I will be celebrating with a close group of friends and family and I will, for a minute, admit my true age....but Saturday morning I'm going right back to being 29!
Come along for the ride as I muse and ponder and share and sing...okay, really I don't sing. But I do all those other things.

Living a whirlwind sort of life
So much is going on that I've (again) been neglecting the blog. It's bound to happen but I promise I won't go away forever and sometimes I might even have something a bit insightful to share. Here's the basic rundown of now.
I start my first class today. Well, my first class that is considered part of nursing school. Pathopysiology. I'm sure it's going to be fun.*
I start my new job on February 8. I will be floating to several different departments within the hospital. This will be a great position because I will be exposed to a lot and I will learn more than just what school is going to teach me.
My birthday is in one week. Party pix will be forthcoming. I'm looking forward to hanging out with friends and family and just having an overall good time!
*I have been assured that this class is in fact not fun and it's the hardest class of them all but I chose to have a positive attitude!

Good Things Are Coming
It's been a busy busy beginning to the new year. On Tuesday, I had an interview. On Wednesday, I went to New Student Orientation at school. On Thursday I had another interview. Next week I start nursing school. Two days a week for 1 1/2 hours. So it will be two days a week of work-school-work. At least for now. A little birdy told me that I would be getting a job offer. I don't know which job it will be for but either of them is a good fit for me right now. I will for sure post about it when everything falls into place.
Two weeks from today is my birthday party. It's the 11th anniversary of my 29th birthday. it's going to be a gathering of friends and family with lots of fun and laughter and drinking and good times. Unfortunately, one of my very best friends is unable to attend, but I've been promised a make up party at a later date. That actually works out good because our birthdays are very close so we will get a private party sometime in the future. (LOVE YOU!)

What things do you have planned for the new year???
